Relentless pain

There I once embraced you, made you the only body I could go to, shouted your name out loud so you wouldn't leave, bumped into the constellations that laughed at my hated memories.

I held back the clouds, insisting on blocking them from expanding into Ferris wheel beads.

But I was wrong, you were so much more than I thought, that you were able to raise the wound above the roof of sorrow and turn it into rain without passing through the clouds that should have been there.
