Mamba Forever

A special release minted today 8/24 on Kobe Bryant Day to pay tribute to one of the greatest of all time. This time-lapse was taken on January 31, 2020, less than a week after the NBA star’s death. The city of Los Angeles paid homage by lighting up several landmarks in purple and gold during the first L.A. Lakers’ game after the accident; one of the most significant being the LAX pylons. I made special arrangements to capture this rare angle to produce this day to night holy grail time-lapse with an intense sunset burn while the cars flowed around LAX and the pylons lit up in purple and gold all night long. All of the elements came together perfectly to honor one of the best to ever do it. Mamba Forever.
