A Tokyo Dream

This series is an ode to Japan - to Tokyo. It explores the dream-like reality around me and shows you how I experience this world. I started photography 10 years ago and have been on a journey since, working with clients and brands and just following the creative calling. I thought freelancing parallel to my full-time finance job was the dream. I thought I wanted to be a chartered accountant. 2017 I realised that wasn't true. I wanted to follow my creative instincts, but I didn't know how to do it. The dream was a haze. I couldn't see it clearly. I just knew I had a new goal, a bigger challenge to take up. I had to leave London, my hometown, to really push me beyond my comfort zone. I arrived in Tokyo in 2019. Here the next stage of this journey began. I started to realise what my dream really is. What it always was. I just wanted to be an artist. I just wanted to make things. This city let me imagine what it might be like. This city gave me the opportunities to be able to explore that possible future. In this city, I realised what my dream was and what I needed to make it come true. My dreams are now my reality. I'm an artist.
