Imagining a future world where archeology is virtual and artefacts are recovered by sifting through ancient eroded data in the metaverse. The series is a play on the double meaning of the word artefact being a made object, typically one of cultural or historical interest, and a distortion or obscurity due to digital or mechanical flaws or errors.
