Black Diamond is one of my most symbolic photos. For several reasons, the first is that it is my first attempt on a black skin and it is one of my most beautiful shoot without hesitation! The second is the meeting with Sokhna who is a Senegalese woman of a beauty, a strength and a kindness that I have rarely known. And finally for the black cause because unfortunately discrimination still exists today. She symbolizes for me the strength, the power and the beauty of a woman. A black diamond, a wink to the blood diamond but this time, it is raw and polished as a perfection that embodies masterfully Sokhna.
