Dust Devil

Dust Devil is set in a world of spacecraft ship-breaking. It is a part of my ANKARIS Project. A long term painting project that will eventually be published as a large format book. This ship-breaking activity spans the entire planet with communities living in and around the giant hulking wrecks. Communities grow and thrive out of the faded forgotten hulks, who's exploits and adventures are now long past. Old craft are recycled into all manner of vehicles as seen here with the Mono-Wheelers. The crew's seen here taking shelter and weary of something, or someone, approaching. The swirling turbulent sand makes it difficult to make out friend from foe!
