Let Me Take It From Here

Photographed in Chinatown, New York City in winter of 2019 of a man and his father just as the sun interrupts an intense morning rainstorm. As a photographer who captures candid stills of the way we live, it’s helped me appreciate a lot in my own life. On this day, I watched as a man with much patience and love take the time to care for his elderly father as they both slowly make their way to a corner to hail a cab. Seeing the kind gestures of the man and little details of their interactions made me slow down to appreciate the bond between these strangers . It’s a moment that will always serve as a reminder of how the roles of taking care of the ones that once cared for you can flip in the blink of an eye.
