Rebirth

Self Portrait, 2022 Nudity has been the center stage in my art over the last few years yet I’ve never shared any of my own. In my upbringing, I’ve always felt a level of shame associated with exposing my body. This image is a story of my personal journey to releasing myself from the societal expectations and becoming the woman I am today. I am comfortable in my own skin and not ashamed to become the art I've worked so hard to create. This image is symbolic for me: being at one in nature, feeling the ocean on my skin, and letting the rain wash away the judgement, fears and expectations I’ve let others set for me.
