[Inspiration] This work captures a hidden drainage outlet beneath street level, where clean water flows directly into the river. A graffiti tag of my characters marks the site as a hidden gateway. Balinese appliqués and flowers adorn the scene, transforming a marginal corner into a small sanctuary. It becomes a ritual of renewal: the overlooked turns sacred, and the everyday reveals a quiet pulse of life continually being reborn. About the collection: “TROPICALI” explores the shared pulse between the Caribbean and Bali through the lens of migration. As a Venezuelan artist shaped by displacement, the idea of home carries both tenderness and rupture. The tropical landscape becomes a bridge: familiar yet foreign, intimate yet mythic. Each piece exists in two states: the still image and its hidden dimension, revealed through Augmented Reality. Collectors are invited to activate the AR layer on their phones to step into the parallel world behind the work. Together, the physical and digital dimensions dissolve borders and reimagine what it means to find home across distant geographies.
