The walls retain it the way skin retains radiation. Marks accumulate not as expression but as record: traces of presence reduced to noise. The light source simulates warmth with excessive intensity. It is inefficient, almost anxious. An indoor sun, engineered to replace something unavailable. It fails quietly. Outside the window, darkness is compressed and stable. It does not advance. It does not retreat. It confirms the room’s isolation without commenting on it. This is not abandonment. Abandonment would imply loss. This space has been completed. Use has ended. Meaning has cooled and settled into surface phenomena. The room does not wait. It continues.
