HARAKIRI is the sixth piece in the Ojuju Saga series.
Inspired by the cinematic masterpiece, "Hara-Kiri." We see a man committing seppuku, the ritualistic Japanese form of suicide. However, this ritual transcends the ordinary, delving deep into the realm of the supernatural.
From the man's back, organic tendrils burst forth. These eerie emanations manifest into sinister demonic figures, each one uniquely menacing. Their presence exudes an unsettling aura, symbolic of the man's inner torment and despair.
Beside the man the man are two Ojuju, each embodying a distinct aspect of this somber ritual. To his left stands an Ojuju holding a gleaming, ornate sword poised to decapitate the man once his self-disembowelment is complete.
On the right side of the scene, a second Ojuju beats a ceremonial drum with a relentless, rhythmic intensity. The thunderous beats of the drum mirror the man's heartbeats serving as a haunting reminder of the inexorable passage of time.
This illustration invites viewers to contemplate the profound and mysterious dimensions of life, death, and the human spirit, all while delivering a visual experience that is both mesmerizing and unsettling.
