Built on foundations dating back to 1740, the Lamarche-Francotte family constructed this castle in the 19th century, featuring a distinctive whitewashed brick facade. Owned for generations by the Counts de Meeus, the estate faced its darkest hour during WWII, when the elegant rooms served as quarters first for the German Wehrmacht and later for American combat engineers. After a long period of decline and over 20 years of vacancy, the castle was given a second life: Successfully renovated in 2016, it now houses apartments and serves as a venue for meetings and events.
