Transformation

I've been fortunate enough to capture many incredible scenes over the years. But the cold views of the Icelandic coast are among the most mesmerizing sights I've ever witnessed. This photograph is a reminder of the ever-changing views of our world and the transformative power of art to capture and preserve those fleeting moments. The perspective makes the ice look smaller than it is. It was about a meter high. After capturing this view, the weather turned into a massive snowstorm. I remember driving in the dark, trying to be quicker than the clouds moving behind me—a night to remember. The Milky Way was captured in a different location to create the final look of this piece.
