At the heart of the Phettaverse is Phetta – a character who started as a sketch and grew into something much more. Phetta is my creative alter ego and the mascot of this universe. But interestingly, he wasn’t always the cheerful cosmic adventurer you might see today. In fact, when I first imagined Phetta years ago, he had a much darker vibe. Originally, Phetta was this gritty, 1980s-inspired detective character in my 2D artemotionull.art – picture a noir-style figure with a trench coat, lurking in neon alleyways. Back then, I was working through a lot of anger and frustration in my life, and Phetta kind of embodied that for me. He came from a place of darkness; I funneled my negative feelings into that character.
