Oculus in Flux

Oculus in Flux is a 15-second kinetic painting that stares back. A molten core—part eye, part embryonic universe—pulses at center-frame while earthen umbers, sand-stone creams, and flashes of electric lapis swirl in perpetual drift. Soft-edged blobs stretch and snap like surface tension on liquid glass, only to collapse into new forms a heartbeat later. The piece invites you to linger on that liminal moment between seeing and being seen: when perception itself wavers and the world looks back. Born from a couple of Midjourney hallucinations, one still was coaxed into motion inside ComfyUI with the LTXv 9.8 model, where latent key-frame interpolation gives the “blob” its slow tidal breath. Another was brought to life in MidJourney . An original SunoAI sound-bed underscores the organic pulse, while DaVinci Resolve provided final color treatment, compilation and timing polish. The result is an endlessly looping organism—half iris, half cosmos—that asks: What if the act of observation left an after-image on reality?
