The Stranger in the Mirror

The mirror's gaze pierced my soul, revealing a stranger I had not seen in years. Was this my true self-image? Or was I even real? The sadness in her eyes enveloped me, a suffocating blanket of memories. I remembered all the pain I had tried to forget, all the blame I had heaped upon myself for things beyond my control.
