A man sitting in front of the closed entrance of the House-Monument of the Bulgarian Communist Party that sits on Buzludzha Peak, high up in the mountains of Bulgaria. It was opened in 1981, as a citizen-funded tribute to the socialist movement in Bulgaria but since the country transitioned to democracy it has lain abandoned.
For most elderly people Buzludzha is a place bringing a lot of memories about the communist period. Some see the monument with joy and sadness and others with shame and anger.
