black on black
sand remembering fire
a yellow vein moves
not river not road
a thought crossing a skull
salt waits
teaches the bright thread its new name
the sea is a mouth with endless hunger
taking everything into one word
where the maps say nothing
ink that learned to breathe
feather shadow on sulphur light
nothing rushes
colour decides to walk
gold loosens into salt
midnight loosens into yes
edge becomes suggestion
the coast forgets to speak
wind studies the margin
what you call anomaly
is the world blinking
once
then opening its eye
made strange enough to see
Terra Nova series is comprised of rare photos of the Earth from the edges, far away and filled with moments of life in the extreme. These are reminders that the world is changing fast, and what’s vanishing isn’t just nature, it’s a connection to something that has existed beyond our short lives. Terra Nova is about witnessing places most people will never see, and making sure they’re not forgotten.
