MLow's artistic journey began with intimate explorations of digital adolescence: distorted self-portraits and psychological shadows that examined growing up in an increasingly unreal world. "Impermanent Loss" marks a profound evolution from personal introspection to shared mythology.
The collection's title, “Impermanent Loss,” refers to a DeFi phenomenon where providing liquidity can result in less value than simply holding your original assets. What's called "impermanent" becomes devastatingly permanent the moment you withdraw. MLow recognizes this as metaphor for all human experience: childhood ends, relationships change, dreams evolve. What feels like loss often reveals itself as transformation.
Created during 2025's market turbulence, this collection excavates the emotional terrain that makes belief possible for those with conviction. Each work employs mixed model generative AI collage techniques to create visual mythology for digital culture, bridging childhood wonder and adult speculation. The process for these works included collaboration with Grok, Claude, ChatGPT, GANs, Midjourney v7, Custom Flux models trained on my portfolio, Luma, Magnific Upscale, and Photoshop. The recurring motifs of leopards, skulls, whales, geometric portals, and flowing figures establish a contemporary folklore for navigating love, loss, and meaning in an age of artificial intelligence.
"Impermanent Loss" captures not just what cryptocurrency culture looks like, but what it feels like to live inside its promises and contradictions. MLow reminds us that all human value is ultimately temporary, but the stories we create about that temporality are the closest we come to permanence.
