SUPERFICIES // hand is an AR sculpture that resembles a hand that is lying down. The hand is covered with glitch-like grass. The hand has a welcoming gesture in that it creates a surface on the ground where one can rest upon and feel sheltered, but at the same time, the hand is occupying the land beneath it, rendering it unusable. Hands can, at the same time, be used to say STOP go no further, and welcome strangers. The hand both guards and invites. To me, SUPERFICIES // hand is a sculpture that describes the land that can be used but can not be owned, and one shall respect the people that use it.
