Weather the Storm

"You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have." – Bob Marley With limited sailing experience, we had no choice but to confront two hurricane seasons on the boat. Our own country, along with almost every other nation, closed their doors to us. Yet, we managed to traverse through 15 countries/territories over two years, even with our children's passports expiring and new ones unattainable. As our ability to transact dwindled due to our banking systems' hostility for not being in our home country, we persevered and found alternative ways to survive then thrive. The Intrepid Ocean series is ultimately about making your own choices in life. About persevering through adversity, transforming hardships into opportunities, and shifting from a reactive mindset, where one stumbles from crisis to crisis, to an intentional way of living. The series highlights the importance of perfecting the art of making conscious decisions before external circumstances dictate our paths. This squall approached us while we were in Northern Barbuda. I admire the tranquility of the ocean before a storm hits, mirroring the desired state of our minds as we face life's mental tempests.
