Kohtaro called us and wanted to introduce us to his new wife Ozawa. They had just married and she just returned from an anime cosplay convention. Ozawa and Kohtaro met with us in the same location in Shinjuku that we photographed him a few days earlier on May 5th. It was significant for the couple to draw the connection across time to match their mid-night portraits. We walked around the square until we felt the right scene. She stood in the busy street all dressed up in her favorite characters uniform. Lit up by neon rainbows shooting hearts right out of her hands.
