Kerby Brown

His tow partner Chris Shanahan follows at the top of the wave while In the foreground Iconic Internationally awarded ocean photographer Andrew Semark documents the action whist Laura Macaulay, the first woman to surf the right, watches on. It’s hard not to be in awe of the human performaces out here amongst the scale and consequence of the arena. Riding the wave on your backhand as a goofy footer is extremely difficult and Kerby is one of the few humans on the planet that can make this wave look easy. His experience and control in waves of consequence is second to none and a mind boggling experience to witness.
