Matriach

A female Western Rock Lobster that stayed floating infront of my camera after its release. Here we dont catch the big females as they are the matriarch's responsible for the population regeneration each season. These Lobsters can live up to 20 years! My friend who is a lifelong diver said he'd never seen one just sit still like that after being released, It felt like she just was mesmerised, possibly by her reflection off my camera? she floated there for what seemed like a good 5 seconds or so before swimming back down.
