The Bussell's Spider Orchid

In 2020 there were only four known flowers of Caledenia busselliana otherwise known as The Bussell's Spider Orchid. This specimen was located on a friends property a small patch of bushland close to home here and its location kept secret. These flowers, only found within a 40km stretch here in the South West of Western Australia are now part of the Royal Botanical Society breeding and repopulation program. It felt super cool to be around such a rare delicate flower. To document it quietly and leave it to keep growing This is a macro stacked photo.
