Retreat

Bushfires, though often devastating, are an integral part of the Earth's ecosystem. In Australia, they are part of life. While posing challenges to communities, these phenomena are a natural force that clears away old growth, stimulating plants that germinate via the intense heat, promoting the emergence of new life. Along a side road while seeking my own respite amidst the chaos of impending calamity, a lone kangaroo seeking safety bounds across a landscape bathed in hues of blazing orange. Earth is a showcase of imagery along my journey with a camera on this planet we call home. One of a kind moments that haven’t seemed to fit anywhere, but as a collection, fit together perfectly.
