A loveless song

I spent so many years while being addict looking down alley ways like this and wondering why they were so beautiful to me. Why did these lonely alleys where I bought and used turn into safe spaces for me, I lost myself in those Midwestern neighborhoods. Later returning to some of the same spots, devoid of heroin and those who’s lives it ruined now, I can’t help but think of all the funerals I was too ashamed to go to, everyone who is still out there dying, so this is a loveless song. Something beautiful based around something horrific.
