“Odomanokma” or the “Infinite Inventor” is the deity responsible for both natural and supernatural existence, according to the African Akan belief system.
In this work, Odomankoma is re-interpreted through an afro-futurist lens. Through the appropriation of a variety of cultural symbols, such as the Yoruban ceremonial headpiece, Ndebele neck rings, her hands showing Western Cristian Sign of the cross. Holographic runes in the background flicker and float in the darkness: the Hebrew tree of life, Metatron’s Cube, and the flower of life.
