Unchangeable scientific facts of time and space die in this artwork called “Dead Air”. The air is lifeless, and the gravity has no power on things. The motion of the objects presents a divine action, the ascension with a liberating disorganization. “Dead Air” shows an alternate reality to the strict and unquestionable concept of space by freeing the objects from the prison of accustomed behavior. Helmet, rope, and the hand of the sculpture connects with each other in this stagnant space. The uncertainty whether the little globes are falling or ascending presents a nonlinear concept of time, and helmet’s connection to the hand with the rope bonds the past with the future, creating a total unity in this complexity.
