As a photographer I carry my camera with me almost at all times, specially when walking around the streets of New York. One night after grabbing a few drinks with friends around the Meatpacking District, I saw this scene, that felt like it was just from another time. I immediately grabbed my camera and took the shot. The lady walking by The Old Homestead Steakhouse gave it a wonderful nostalgia that felt like autumn in New York in the 40s. I used a haze filter on my lens that gave the glow on the neon signs, and then adjusted the colors to make it more cinematic. This part of NYC is great for pictures, specially around Chelsea, and this particular business is the oldest continuously operating steakhouse in the United States.
