Giving In

It started with an image, a single click of the camera pointed towards a half naked woman, scars on her chest, the machine didn't like this, it demanded modesty. Techniques were used to appease the machine. Black boxes of obscuration were drawn until the woman was almost unrecognizable. The machine liked this. It filled the boxes with what it wanted, a dress, an inhuman waist, nothing of what was once there. The question must be asked, is it still the woman, or is it something else, a mirror, a husk or a transformation.
