Ancestral Melody I is part of a series of paintings titled ancestral melody. The paintings explore the movement, flow, rhythm and sound of music. In each painting the subject is observed with a different musical instrument. These unique subjects are part of of a surreal band. The artworks are inspired by African masks and sculptural pieces.
