Rorschach Sculpt #3

My abstract and surrealistic art is rooted in the philosophy of Mind Patterns, explored also by Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach. Throughout the creation of my artwork, I delve into the analogies that arise in my mind and strive to enhance them. By incorporating multiple associations within a single piece, the artwork remains open to further interpretations. The inspiration behind Rorschach Sculpture #3 In my oil paintings, I embrace horror vacui, which is the fear of emptiness. I meticulously detail the entire surface, leaving no perceived emptiness and filling it with intricate content. However, with Process Sculptures, I aim to overcome this fear and instead emphasize the contrast between highly detailed focal areas and the empty negative space surrounding them. This approach creates a greater dramatic effect. To bridge the gap between my Giger-inspired oil paintings and digital Process Sculptures, I transform the ink-like colors into a metallic material reminiscent of goldsmithing during the animation. I explore ways to represent the highly associative and analogical forms using the human body as a medium. The body transcends and becomes a polysemantic artwork. Analogies I have discovered within this artwork include: tearing apart, emerging from emptiness, transmutation of matter, and disappearance. Technique: In the motion capture studio, I record my movements, which are then applied to a 3D virtual character that I have sculpted. I capture the imprint of the body on specific frames of the animation. Throughout this process, the shapes undergo a transformation, evolving into polysemantic abstract artwork. Contemplate this artwork to recognize your own mind patterns or simply to free your mind! The artwork is a seamless audiovisual loop lasting 13 seconds, with dimensions of 4000 x 2620 pixels (maintaining the original proportions of Rorschach blot paper).
