Plato's Cave

This is a modernized version of the allegory Plato’s Cave which describes a group of prisoners who live chained to a wall in a cave, facing a screen that has a caged parrot projected on it. The people watch the images of caged parrots and begin to believe that birds are naturally found in cages. The caged birds are real to the prisoners, but are not accurate representations of birds in the real world. The screen represents the bit of reality that we can normally perceive through our senses, while the man who escapes from the cave represents the brave souls who forge their own path to find the true nature of things.
