"The Orderly Chaos of Silence" is an immersive exploration of movement, identity, and interconnectedness. Created in a VR environment editor during my residency with the Loop Art Critique in the spring of 2024, this piece blurs the boundaries between the physical and digital, natural and artificial, and internal and external worlds.
Set against a radiant electric-blue sky, with glitching pixelated trees and seagulls in flight, the figures in this animated world are perpetually moving—running or swaying in place, caught in an endless cycle. Each character is unique, (or are they?) representing diverse identities, yet they move in harmony, hinting at a shared rhythm within the chaos of life.
The absence of a visible horizon line creates a sense of infinite depth and dissolves traditional boundaries. The seamless blending of land and sky reflects the fluidity of perception and challenges the viewer to question the structures and limits they impose on themselves...
