I miss you

Created in July 2018, the work reflects a period of personal confrontation with illness and the gradual loss of my father to Parkinson's. Rather than portraying grief as a single moment, the scene evokes the quieter, more complex experience of missing someone who is physically present yet slowly changed; a meditation on memory, time, and the fragile boundary between presence and absence. The autumn setting underscores this theme of transition, suggesting both beauty and inevitability. Through minimal detail and deliberate contrast, this piece invites viewers into a contemplative space, where the stillness of the seated figure and the slow movement implied in the water’s reflection mirror the emotional process of watching, remembering, and letting go.
