Twisted Chains

Our minds are so complex, even today's best scientists around the world, are still wondering how our brains work. Scientists say humans only use 10% of our brains. Imagine if we could use 100%. Which brings us to the hypothesis, are we really free in our minds? Or are we strapped in chains protecting us from chaos...... Could it be our spirits tied to a symbol fact of not knowing the truth of freedom within our minds? I remember I watched a movie entitled 'Revolver' with Jason Statham and Andre 3000. Even though it's a movie, it circled around the idea of our egos, and it's purpose in our minds. What exactly is the voice in our head(s)? At the end of the movie, they had elite psychiatrists talking about how the voice in our head, or our ego is not really us. It's something else. Another one of the doctor's believed our egos truly can be the good or evil in us. Our minds define us. I grew up in a middle-class household, and never really experienced racism until I moved to Rochester, NY. Withing the 19th district. As a young kid I started to think about how certain areas in society just keep people chained down. Maybe so? Maybe not? It took me almost 20 years later for me to move out to St. Louis, Missouri, for me to really see the truth. This was the first time I was ever in handcuffs, for driving a friends car who didn't tell me they had expired plates. I really found myself in a tight spot, being handcuffed is not a feeling I would want anyone to feel. It felt like being a slave on a plantation in the south. Regardless, a few years later, I eventually broke through the code and found myself at the top of the world at one point. Working with Cornell "Nelly" Haynes, Mr. Country Grammar changed my life. Nelly showed me the power of opportunities. Which made me think more about "Maybe it's not a chained mentally, it's more of how bad do you want it in life." Even though I sacrificed so much to get there. In the end, did I become a product of my environment? Hell No! My mother taught me to be free. To treat everyone like family, not matter what. So I did... These mental chains of society won't hold me. I will be free. For now.
