This is from the series DestroyTheSelf where I make self-portraits based on a 3D scan of my head that is distorted in various ways. DestroyTheSelf reflects on today’s selfie culture and the Buddhist idea of “no-self”. This instance looks further into our digital selves that more and more become who we are. Will we eventually merge with the digital and all become digital ghosts?
