Pink Noise

The work Pink Noise is part of my masked portrait series and was inspired by a mix of shiny gemstones and the sound of white noise. Both elements cover the portrayed person in object and sound to mask what should stay unseen. I have started using masks as a tool to hide and cover parts of the appearance like we use fashion and other external elements. As a realistic painter my motifs seem very obvious as everything in the painting is exposed. But as an artist I have always been captivated by painting what we can’t see.
