This work was created with the help of artificial intelligence, yet its aesthetics reach back to the tactile experience of paper and print. My practice with neural networks focuses on searching for materiality within the digital, exploring how algorithms can imitate folds, tears, paint saturation, and the worn textures of old posters. In North Wave, the sea appears as a distant, restrained force, an image that feels both alive and fractured. The digital medium reshapes the northern ocean into a surface marked by tension and erosion, where movement is slowed and emotion is held at a quiet distance. Within this fusion of neural algorithms and the imitation of a physical surface, a subtle tension emerges between the infinite plasticity of the digital image and the fragility of paper it attempts to recreate.
