La Duree Glass

Erika Winstone presents new works for Blackbird related to her ongoing research London Project 2019-22. The artist has recorded temporary physical installations in her studio layering tiny sections of her film work to illuminate paused moments drawn with the ancient technique of silver point on painted discarded glass fragments. These physical/digital hybrids contain unique moments of transitory encounters blurring the original and the re-enactment that foreground the changing liminal relationship between who we are and who we would like to be.
