Viper

The coiled energy of a 30 foot wall of water unloading towards my position of which I needed to hastily evacuate myself from after taking this. The force and energy you witness as this wave breaks is a very intimidating experience. Directly behind me are semi submerged barnacle encrusted granite boulders. It feels like an arena we know as we have frequented it so much but there is no room to move, no room for error and help is hours away. The green colours are created by tannins in the water, flushed out to sea after heavy rain. With this reef located well over a kilometre from shore, the usually heavy brown silt tannins become diluted with creating the green in the photo, The next day at this location the ocean had returned to blue.
