Kaysha: Young, Imaginative, Inspired by Life

Excited to announce that our upcoming exhibition “SuperRare GenZs” will open on this Friday (Oct 30) 4-6pm EST.

kaysha: We are two sisters, K. and S. We like art, maths, science, movies, legos and horses. We are curious and we are here to get to know this world of cryptoart too. Our art plays with shapes, colors and imagination.

What’s special about being GenZ?

Cosa c’è di speciale nell’essere GenZ?

It is special to be GenZ because we live in a time of possibilities.

Maybe in the future we will drive a flying machine and I (S.) will be a scientist who saves animals from extinction and my sister K. will design video games for horses.

Or maybe artificial intelligence will take over the world and we will live locked inside small rooms, with a VR helmet that will be the only way to know the world.

E’ speciale essere GenZ perché viviamo in tempo pieno di possibilità.

Chissà, in futuro guideremo una macchina volante e io S. forse sarò una scienziata che salverà gli animali dall’estinzione e mia sorella K. progetta videogame per cavalli.

O forse l’intelligenza artificiale dominerà il mondo e vivremmo rinchiusi in piccole stanze con il caschetto della VR e sarà l’unico modo per conoscere il mondo.

How does it relate to your art?

Come si relaziona alla tua arte?

Although virtual reality might seem scary, it actually is a very creative tool. When I use it, I feel safe because I am with myself in a world without limits.

We made two works with VR: Whales Melody and PI Worshipper.

But we do not only create virtual works. We also use other techniques and tools  like brushes, pencils and colors.

Nonostante la realtà virtuale possa spaventare, è uno strumento molto creativo. Quando la uso ho come la sensazione di sentirmi al sicuro perché sto con me stessa in un mondo senza limiti.

Abbiamo fatto due opere con la VR: Whales Melody, PI Worshipper.
però noi non facciamo solo le opere virtuali ma anche con altre tecniche come pennelli, matite e colori.

What’s special about being an artist in this generation?

Cosa c’è di speciale nell’essere un artista in questa generazione?

Everything is new, there is a lot to learn and invent, especially in cryptoart. For us – KaySha -, making art is a game that we share with the world.

E’ tutto nuovo, c’è tanto da mparare e inventare soprattutto nella cryptoart. Per noi KaySha, fare arte  è un gioco che condividiamo con il mondo.

What is the role of artists in today’s world?

Qual è il ruolo degli artisti nel mondo di oggi?

The role of artists is to tell and show where the world is going, while hoping to save the whales. We have our own ideas and dreams of how we want to live our future and we show them in our works.

Il ruolo degli artisti è raccontare e mostrare dove va il mondo, sperando di salvare le balene. Abbiamo le nostre idee e i nostri sogni di come vogliamo vivere il nostro futuro e li mostriamo nelle nostre opere.

Why did you become an artist?

To express yourself.

Your goals for the future? What kind of artists do you want to become?

To continue to make art, experiment and improve ourselves.

We want to become some sort of Cryptoart Killers.

What do you want to achieve / express through your art?

Cosa vuoi raggiungere/esprimere attraverso la tua arte?

A smile and a thought. If you look carefully, in each of our works there is an aspect, a character that inspires fun. But underneath that, there is a message dear to us that we want to deepen and tell with through the piece.

Un sorriso e un un pensiero. Se  guardate bene, in ogni nostra opera, c’è un aspetto, un personaggio che ispira simpatia ma sotto sotto c’è un messaggio a noi caro che con l’opera vogliamo approfondire e raccontare.

Where do you think you are in your life (struggles and growth)?

Dove pensi di essere nella tua vita (lotte e crescita)?

S: I would like to be a good writer and learn English and Chinese.

K: In the mountains.

S: Vorrei sapere scrivere bene e imparare l’Inglese e il Cinese.

K: In montagna.

We literally use everything: markers, stamps, photoshop, Oculus, legos. We like to mix.

Usiamo praticamente tutto, pennarelli, timbri, photoshop, Oculus, lego. Ci piace mischiare.

What do you think about the traditional world of traditional art and the fine arts market VS. world of cryptoart? Which do you prefer?

Cosa ne pensi del tradizionale mondo dell’arte tradizionale e del mercato delle belle arti VS. mondo della cryptoart? Quale preferisci?

We prefer the cryptoart world because it allows us to be in the game.

Preferiamo quello della cryptoart perché ci permette di essere in gioco.

How do you imagine the future of cryptoart?
