SuperRare goes Offline in NYC

On April 3, 2025, SuperRare opened the doors to its first permanent physical space, located next to the New Museum in Lower Manhattan.

The inaugural exhibition, Digital Decadence: The Art of Falling Apart, invites artists to explore what it means to be human in an age of rapid technological change. The event embraced the crypto art scene, bringing together some of its most prominent artists to mark the beginning of a new era—one where offline experiences hold as much value as those online.

The gallery is an opportunity to show how digital art can be elevated in a physical space—presented on FRMD’s wood-mounted frames with anti-glare surfaces, designed for ideal viewing. It also underscored the importance of bringing people together to experience work that’s long lived on desktops and phones—inviting a slower, more intentional experience.
