He followed the lines, In front of his eyes, As they curled into the forest, Where they live. Sunk into Leda’s lake, Surrounded by sirens of an unusual fate, They flutter shifting shapes, These sirens pull him deeper, Their feathers make him weaker, The forest reflecting glimmers on the water, PULL HIM UNDER Wolves run through the fog, Bloated croaking frogs, Wet, cold and steaming rocks, Their paws trampling leaves & roots & logs, Sprinting over moss, They howl as their paths cross He thought he married well, Sealed it with a black lipped kiss, Now it’s a hopeless tale to tell, Lost forever chasing bliss.
