Urban Saints - St. Nicholas

This 3 tone single cut stencil belongs in the series "Urban Saints" I met Nicholas in the street digging in a bin trying to get something to eat ...meanwhile people were passing around him totally indifferent to what was happening . I got him water, juice and something to eat ...and shot this quick picture of him showing me really proud...probably what kept him going ... a metal cross made of tin and a plastic stamp of the crucifixion. Two months later i found him again ...showed him the stencil i made .... he smiled . it meant the world to me seeing this really old dressed in rugs kind man ...smiling . He took out a tiny vial and put a few drops of holy scented oil on my hand for good luck... 2 years of pandemic passed since then ... i m still looking out to see him ...but i think he's not with us anymore. 1/1
