Painted Badlands
The Utah badlands are home to some of the most "alien-like" desert formations, and this area screams "not of this planet."
These gullies are formed through thousands of years of erosion and water that create these unique ravines that stand out like veins when captured from the air.
The combination of the warm desert tones, as they collide with the blue hour tones, tell a story of the constantly changing light over these vast gullies surrounding Wayne County in Utah. Each aerial composition I find during my desert travels tell a different story from the last, and I always find myself visualizing how each was formed over the years.
Aerial texture imagery remains my deepest love and passion with my photography, and I pride myself on my eye for unique compositions that I'm able to capture in air during my drone flights.
