Renowned experts in archaeology, anthropology, and history assure the existence of a lost pre-Hispanic codex, original from the Central America region, dating from the 1st century AD. According to the records, the aforementioned codex was uncovered in an indigenous, clandestine library near the ancient city of Copán, and dispatched to Spain under the orders of King Philip II. Unfortunately, during its maritime journey, it was stolen (probably by the famous pirate Francis Drake) and nothing was known about it until the early 19th century, when an informant of explorer Alexander von Humboldt confirmed its discovery in the black market of San José, Costa Rica. Some sources claim that Humboldt had the original codex in his possession, and even translated a large part of its contents, which was sold for a substantial sum of money to an anonymous collector rumored to be an agent of the British government. Since then, little or nothing is known about the whereabouts of Humboldt's text or the original codex. The importance and covetousness aroused by this codex is due to the valuable information it contains, as it is probably the most extensive and complete Maya document on the methodology of research and medical knowledge of its time. It reveals important data, such as the true reasons behind the misnamed "human sacrifices," which were in fact complex research activities and medical practices for the purposes of health and knowledge. It also addresses subjects such as the effects and true purposes of cranial deformations in important figures of the governing class, practices considered "ornamental" according to modern official narratives, but those who are familiar with the codex assure that they are neurophysiological interventions aimed at activating and expanding brain capabilities. Dr. Yoannou Ezmyoh is a prominent researcher who has dedicated much of her life to spreading the pre-Hispanic wisdom of the region of Central America. In the second volume of her work "Códex Sanationis", Ezmyoh delves into her research and questions the official versions of many of the practices most stigmatized and poorly understood by Western thought.
