Sublime Texture 01

This piece is an animated fragment derived from a physical artwork created by hand using brushes and acrylic paint markers on various surfaces such as paper, fabric, and wood (see the production process on my IG account). It is part of the project “Subliminal Tessitura”, a collection of visual memories inspired by the depths of underwater life and other aquatic bodies around the planet. The collection will have an approximate production period of one year, after which it will be presented at the PortoFino Building, currently under construction in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The full value of this artwork will be allocated to the creation of a laboratory dedicated to monitoring and sampling the region’s cenotes and coral reefs. This laboratory will develop projects involving underwater photogrammetry, 3D printing of natural organisms and structures, data extraction, and experimental modeling, with the goal of generating knowledge and fostering the conservation of marine ecosystems.
