The Invisible Spectrum

'The Invisible Spectrum' is the third installment in Zach Doehler's InfraVision series. The goal of InfraVision is to showcase various landscapes and scenes from the perspective of both a regular camera and a fully converted 590nm infrared camera. In collaboration with Transient Labs, this piece is the first interactive installment in the series that allows the user to toggle between both full resolution images. This piece will also automatically switch between the two images as day turns into night. Both photographs were captured high up on the edge of a cliff in the Na Pali mountains of Kauai. The islands of Hawaii are very rarely captured with infrared cameras. These beautiful tropical landscapes combined with the colors and contrasts of a 590nm infrared camera makes for some truly otherworldly scenes. Resolution: 5694x8541
